The Trusses Are Up!

The Trusses Are Up!

My crazy life showed up the same morning as the trusses.  I was so proud of myself that I showed up at the farmhouse at 6:15am and the crane showed up at 6:30am.  The most unusual part of that, was being up, dressed (not well), and someplace at that time of the morning.  I had my camera all...

DIY Halloween Costumes….Refurbishing your formal dresses into classic characters with a twist. We...

Rocker 7 Farm Patch

Rocker 7 Farm Patch

We had such a fun time at Rocker 7 Farm Patch!  The kids loved the petting zoo!  Cooper was a tad bit afraid of the big spotted pig that wanted to sniff his toes!  Grady loved herding the goats through their little red house and Lucas was just happy to be there!  The big in the ground jumper was...

Perimeter Is Secure

Perimeter Is Secure

It's hard to believe but all the outside walls are up!  The last wall to be put up was the big north wall that has three sets of french doors out to the patio.  It has a huge header beam and was a big wall to go up!  The farmhouse is really taking shape now.  I am starting visualize where the...

One Wall Left

I am so grateful to be able to share the progress of the farmhouse with you!  We have one wall left to have all the outside walls up and standing tall!  I just love going to the job site and smelling the fresh cut wood and listening to the saws and nail guns.  And yes, they do still do some good...

More Outside Walls

More Outside Walls

Well its hard to believe that these guys work so fast!  The outside walls are almost up.  The three storage rooms in the garage are already framed too. If you look at the foundation of the picture with the garage you can see the red chalk lines of the interior walls. The long wall that is laying...

Fall Cinnamon Bun Cake

This is a beautiful and delicious cake recipe!  This is a seasonal Pillsbury cake mix that I tried on the family.  They all loved it.  It tastes very similar to a spice cake with just a little less spice.  The frosting, of which I am a frosting lover, taste very similar to Cinnabon.  I didn't...

Walls of Wood

Walls of Wood

This is so exciting I can't completely believe it is happening!  Well today the first walls went up on the farmhouse!  My contractors, Karl T Brim Construction, sent me a text this morning to let me know I need to get to the farmhouse with my camera in tow.  So out of bed I jumped and off I went! ...

Salted Caramel Apple Crisp Bars

Well I decided I would take one for the team this upcoming holiday season and try out the new box flavors for desserts coming out!  Often times I feel that I would like them and then don't buy them,  opting for the safe cake mix (or fill in the blank for you) that I know and love.  So I will be...
