Hey friends! I just wanted to do a little catching up and info session here. YES we plan on hosting sunflower photography sessions again this fall. We will be planting flowers next week. Our plan is to plant in one week increments. This will hopefully provide us with a little insurance if the weather is bad that we will not have to go more than a week until we will get fresh blooms. We are also planning on giving you a little extra space between rows to tuck your clients into the field. We are trying to think of all the needs that you might have to ensure a great experience for you and your clients on the farm in the sunflower field!

I plan to host a booking party the last week of August for you early birds that want to get your dates on the books. Once that has taken place we will open it up to others who weren’t able to make it. We are hoping to have blooms the last week of September through the third week of November. There are no real changes in the format this year. The pricing will stay the same. Everyone is feeling the crunch of inflation, so we don’t want you to have that here! We will have a limit on the number of photographers per day. You will also have the use of the field the entire day that you book. We have some photogs that like those morning sunrise sessions. We will do what we can to reschedule you if you have to cancel, but the cancelation must come at least a day prior to your booking. I know things come up, so I do try hard to work with you. We also have had to cancel on our side when the flowers aren’t there because of weather or other circumstances. That is the way farming goes.

I appreciate you all so much. It is an exciting time for our Sweet Flower Home family during Sunflower Season. It feels like a party in the field every night with all of you there. We will host the Sunflower and Pumpkin Festival at the end of October which is great fun.

For future events we hope that we will be able to get live Christmas trees this year for a market. We will schedule a week of Christmas photos here at the Cottage and we will host a Christmas Worship Service that all will be invited to! AND I’m hoping to sneak in a Farm to Table Dinner in November! Stay tuned for a busy fall!

All that being said, I’d also appreciate some thoughts and prayers. I’ve been fairly silent these last months around here. My father is at his end of life journey so I have cleared my schedule to spend time with him. My husband has also once again had some health issues that we are sorting out. So two of my most loved men are in need of my attention and I sure want them to have it.

Looking forward to flowers and festivals in our future! Blessings to all of you!

With love,

Carrie
