It’s hard to believe but all the outside walls are up!  The last wall to be put up was the big north wall that has three sets of french doors out to the patio.  It has a huge header beam and was a big wall to go up!  The farmhouse is really taking shape now.  I am starting visualize where the rooms really begin and end now.  Each of them are slowly taking shape.  The interior walls are being framed now also.  So now I can see just how much space there is in a particular room.  I am really happy with the office size.  It is actually a little bigger than I thought.  The guest bedroom closet was a little bigger than needed so we took some space from it and gave it to the master closet.  I am really, really happy about that!  The grandkids room is a little smaller than I thought it would be, but we will make it cozy!  The built in bunk beds are going to be a fun place for them.  I had to decide where the niches in the wall will be next to the beds before the wall went up!  We will see how well I did on that guess when we get further along!

Some of the smaller trusses on both the east and west end of the house the framers have already put up.  That is a big job getting them up that high.  The majority of ceiling will be 10 to 12 feet with others being vaulted.  The crane will be here on Friday to put the big trusses that stretch the width of the house.  I will be getting up early to record that event to share with you!

The outdoor brick fireplace is now being built on the patio.  This will also have a spot for an outdoor grill.  This will all be under roof which should be a wonderful entertaining space! I am excited for this to start taking shape.
