What a wonderful day we had blessing the farmhouse with scripture and love! The weather was just perfect! Inside the house and outside on the patios was just right! It was so much fun to see people as they chose which room they wanted to write in. I have loved looking at all the writing! The little kids had lots of fun running around outside and playing in the dirt piles. It was such a heart warming experience to already have the farmhouse filled with people! We had about 65 people come through in about two and half hours. So it gave me such a good idea of the how the house will flow when it is finished. I put up a big “sweets” table in the kitchen approximately where the island will be. We had Nate Botsford singing on the courtyard patio and chairs set up in the family room for people to sit. Sierra Rae our guest blogger came out and got to meet some of your personally. I am already imagining the adventures we will have showing hospitality in our new home!
Thanks to all of you who texted or commented your scriptures because you weren’t able to attend. I have enjoyed all the scriptures as I have written them in the house for you! Each time I complete one I feel the joy that the scripture brings!
I’m so appreciative of my friend Colleen and daughter-in-love Jenna for suggesting we do this. It is something I had never thought of. There isn’t a better way to secure the walls of a home than by covering it with scripture. The words will be the nails, the wood, the foundation and the love that this farmhouse is built on!
