It is getting busy inside the walls of the farmhouse!  The HVAC people have been in putting in all the duct work for the air conditioning and heating.  I kept repeating to the guys…..I don’t want to be hot!…..are you sure there is enough cooling power?  They kept assuring me that there would be!  The plumbers have been getting all their pipes in the walls too.  We even have the bathtub in the grandkids room.  It seems so strange sitting there among the tall wood framing.  The electrician came out and spent an entire day with me going over every plug, switch, fan and light!  There will be a switch in the storage room that will turn off and on the Christmas lights that will plug in under the rafters in the corners of the house. That was a huge job and a bit stressful.  I kept hoping that when its all said and done they will be in just the right place!  We also put in USB outlets in several of the rooms for the wave of technology that will be used in the future in the house.

My big decision is ….will I have a land line phone or not?……I’m not positive yet!  Funny that is even a question when you’re my age! And what about the TVs in the house?  Will you have cable boxes or satellite boxes or will the be wireless and how big will they be so we can know where the power needs to be?  Yikes!  My brain has been working overtime!

I really want to get the bones of the house right the first time around.  My contractor, Karl T. Brim Construction, has been great in walking me through these decisions and helping me research decisions that need to be made.  I highly recommend using a contractor, even if you are great about decisions, they really help having another mind focused on your project!

My little 4 year old friend Tucker left me the sweet drawing in the grandkids room during the Farmhouse Blessing!  Too cute not to share!

Thanks for stopping by Sweet Flower Home!  Come back soon!
