In honor of Torey’s birthday we kicked off fall at our house!  Torey has always been our “chocolate baby”.  Since I can remember she has loved chocolate.  Every kind of chocolate at any time of the day or night!  So for her birthday I made her this chocolate, chocolate cake.  If you haven’t noticed yet I love making things the easy way……so this cake is the “anybody can do” this version!  Two chocolate fudge cake mixes, follow the directions on the box, two cans of milk chocolate frosting, one can of caramel frosting, and one small bag of milk chocolate chips.  I love trying all the new fall baking mixes that come out at the grocery store.  The caramel is new and we all absolutely loved it.  I’m looking for some different ways to use it again it was so delicious.  The chocolate chips I added right into the cake mix after I had blended it.  The trick to the cakes with chocolate chips was to let them cool thoroughly before turning them out of the pans.  The chocolate chips are a little sticky on the bottom when they are still hot.  I have a small piping bag and a few tips that make it easy to add the caramel frosting border.  Then the flowers are so easy to arrange on the top for a beautiful cake.  The family declared this one of my best cakes for the chocolate lover!

I hope you can have someone over and bake a cake this weekend!  Hospitality is so appreciated!
