Well it has been awhile since I have posted a blog. It seems like life squeezes out the simpler tasks preferring the ones that need me now. So I had a few minutes and wanted to reach out and give you all some fun things to look forward to this fall! We have been dreaming up some wonderful events for you all and have gotten a few of them on the books already.
Our annual Photographer’s Sunflower Booking Party will be on August 26th at 6:30pm here at the Farmhouse. This is a terrific event for our photographers to get signed up early for their fall sunflower sessions. It is a free event for photographers to attend. We network with other photographers while enjoying plenty of appetizers and speciality drinks/coffee compliments of Rangel’s Roast Coffee. We love the opportunity to spend a few minutes on learning about the farm with a chance to ask questions. There will be an array of fun door prizes to win and best of all the photographers who attend get to sign up before we open our booking online! Photographers must be here in person or send a representative to sign up this evening.
Sunflowers are the belle of the ball in October. So we are making an effort to get more of you in the sunflowers for other events beside photography. Anyone interested in Happy Hour in the Sunflowers? How about join us for “Sips, Sunsets & Sunflowers: A Gathering on the Farm.” Come connect with others who love sunsets and sunflowers! This is your chance to relax and soak in the beauty of the farm with friends or perfect for a date night! You choose! Mark your calendar for October 23rd.
Want to dive a little deeper into the beautiful yellow petals on the farm? Join us on November 1st for “Gather & Graze: A Fall Farm Dinner.” This will be the crown jewel of the sunflower season. Heritage Street Cooks will be catering a farm to table dinner right in the middle of the sunflowers! It is a beautiful evening soaking in the sunset and sounds of laughter and chatter seated at the long table filled with the bounty of fall. This will be a 5 course meal with appetizers, drinks and entertainment. If you are looking for a magical night under the stars look no further.
Last but not least, in the sunflowers, we will make every effort to host at least 1 to 2 days of U-Pick. This is such a fun event for families to come in and pick their own flowers to take home or share with someone. You purchase your flowers by the bucket or by the stem. There are lots of options here for flowers, fun and memories! The date for this event will be pending until late October to see where we are in the bloom cycle of the flowers. 
Some of the other events we are dreaming up are a Fall Spice Workshop. Some of you have attended that in the past. We bottle up spices for your fall baking while connecting to a small group of participants in the comfort of the Farmhouse kitchen.
Christmas is always on our minds which brings us to all the fragrant greens from our neighbors in Oregon! We will announce the online sales of Christmas trees, wreaths and garland from Oregon. These are the freshest greens you can purchase during the Holiday season in Arizona. Those are online orders that have a specific pick up date at the Farmhouse.

Good luck to all of you who are getting those kids ready for back to school and gearing up for fall youth sports. Wow! Remember to take a little time to smell the roses…….or I mean sunflowers and count your little blessings!
