Wow! Wow! Wow! What a great group of photographers we had at the Farmhouse! It was so much fun to put a name with a face for me. Many of photogs said they had never met with each other personally and this was their chance! That connection of people with the same interests is so gratifying. The chatter in the room over the very tasty Sweet and Savory Charcuterie board was energizing for us all!

We had almost 40 photogs from Queen Creek to Buckeye here signing up for bookings in the sunflowers. They are so excited to get their clients signed up to make a visit to the farm and the sunflowers to work their magic with beautiful clients making lasting memories! I am humbled to be a part of it!

I will say this group of gals sure are go getters! They swarmed the sign up sheets, checking their schedules on their phones, asking important questions and picking the perfect date for their clients! These women not only are terrific small business owners, they are creative and insightful. Many of them also hold down outside jobs, raise a family, keep a cozy home and edit photos while burning the midnight oil! They are definitely an inspiring group!

We also had the tiniest swag bag you have ever seen! It was cute though…..and had a Sweet Flower Home sticker and little packet of sunflower seeds to plant! We also gave away a few fun photog related door prizes! Who doesn’t want to win a prize?

We also had “The Wandering Chair” set up on display. This is a little added bonus for the photographers in the field that on several selected days will be able to add to their client’s package. Can you see yourself surrounded by sunflowers sitting in one of these dreamy chairs?

I am looking forward to working on the farm with a terrific bunch of photographers! If you missed the Open House just maybe we will have another in the spring. Did I say that I had a lot fun hosting?

We will not only have sunflowers this fall but will have some other fun opportunities for photographers also. In October we will have a pumpkin patch and market here at the Farmhouse. In December we will have a Christmas tree lot and The Little White Cottage will look like she’s dressed up to star in a Hallmark movie. Cotton will also be in late November and December. Then as the seasons change we will have yellow broccoli flowers in the spring and then in May and June wheat. Please remember we are a working farm with plants that don’t grow by our schedules. So I can’t always announce the exact dates as far in advance as I would like. As farmers we are always watching the weather and praying to the good Lord that our crops will be bountiful!

If you are interested in booking sessions now for the sunflowers take a look at the photography tab here on the website for more info on how to do that!

Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by to see what we are up to!

Blessings,

Carrie
