It is time to start thinking about your tablescapes for Thanksgiving!  I think you will like this one!! This Fall Farmhouse Table is so sweet and simple!

I used a gray tablecloth base and then layered over it with a painter’s linen drop cloth!  Yes, I know crazy!  But they are so functional with that raw cotton feel and inexpensive to buy!  You could even use the drop cloth as your table cloth and then layer with a piece of burlap. I think a gray and white check or stripe would be beautiful on this table too!  My white dishes from our wedding 33 years ago are still coming in handy at so many of my table settings and this is no exception!  A white cloth or heavy paper napkins is tied up with a piece of jute string.  I got black labels at the craft store and wrote on them with silver metallic marker for a nice little greeting for your guest!  I think this makes them feel welcome!  I added a sprig of greenery and layered a couple of tiny paper flowers that I use in scrap booking over that.  I feel that it pulls the orange of the pumpkins and flowers down to the place setting.  The centerpiece is a metal tray that has some greenery at the bottom then I placed the pumpkins, tiny single flower vases and another slightly larger vase for the bunch of orange flowers.  You could also go with a color scheme of all natural colors with white pumpkins and white flowers that would give a subtle and beautiful look!  I just couldn’t pass up placing my little straw farmhouse chicken and pig on the table!  Remember, you are eating turkey!  The mason jars with a straw are just a fun look for any farmhouse table!  I placed a little brown box with brown raffia at each place setting to give the guest a nice little after dinner treat.  You can put any kind of candy or goody that appeals to your family.  It is also fun to have a little gift to open!

I hope you have some good ideas for your “Fall Farmhouse Table” that you can use for Thanksgiving!  Remember mix and match what you already have!  These are ideas to get your creative self motivated!  Have fun!  Please feel free to share your tables with me on the Sweet Flower Home Facebook page!

Happy Thanksgiving,

Carrie
