My builder and I finally got our sample of our metal roof. It is Galvalume metal roofing. I wanted the natural “tin roof” color. So we kept asking the roofer what the color was called. He kept repeating Galvalume. Neither of us had heard of this color name before. I don’t think the big box of crayons has that color! So upon research I found that Galvalume is the metal roofing product name. There are various colors that the product can be painted. So to achieve the natural look of the metal the color is referred to as “bare Galvalume.” So I am hoping that this color will age nicely and give the roof a true farmhouse look! I didn’t know I was going “bare”!

Carrie, we have a white Galvalume metal roof, and I just love it. My kids said it made our house look like a barn when it was being built, but that was fine with me.
Mary Ann, I think we are really going to like it! I’ll have to take a peek at yours! It certainly will last a long time! Thanks for stopping by Sweet Flower Home!
